Transfer a device between tenants

There may be cases where your device fleet must be transferred from one tenant to another.

Knox Manage doesn’t support direct device migration between tenants. However, with Knox Mobile Enrollment, you can transfer a device to a new tenant by re-enrolling the device.

How to transfer a device to a new tenant

  1. Integrate Knox Mobile Enrollment with your new Knox Manage tenant.
  2. Unenroll the device from Knox Manage. Unenrolling triggers a factory reset on the device.


Knox Manage supports exporting profiles from an existing tenant, and importing them into a new tenant. Users, groups, and apps must be added manually to the new tenant.
