Overview

This article guides you on how to add a large contact list to your device fleet using a Knox Manage profile.

Prepare your contact list

For improved performance, we recommend you split your contact list into smaller chunks before you add a large number of contacts to the Knox Manage console. If your contact list contains only telephone numbers, you can add up to 1,000 contacts at once. However, if your contacts contain more detailed information, we recommend you only add up to 500 contacts at once.

How do I add a large contact list to devices using a profile on the Knox Manage original console?

To add the contact list to your devices:

1. Navigate to your Knox Manage original console.
2. On the navigation pane, click Profile.
3. Click on the profile name that you’re using to push the contact list.
4. Click Modify Policy. The Set Policy page opens.
5. Navigate to Android Enterprise > Phone. Then depending on your device management type:
   • For fully managed devices, set Contact Management under Device Controls to Apply.
   • For devices with a work profile, set Contact Management under Work Profile Controls to Apply.
6. Click Upload. On the Upload Contact dialog, review the guidelines and add your contact list.
7. Click Save, then click OK.
8. Save the profile and push it to your device fleet.
9. Verify that all devices receive the contact list.
10. Repeat steps 3 to 9 until all parts of the contact list are pushed.

How do I add a large contact list to devices using a profile on the Knox Manage new console?

To add the contact list to your devices:

1. On the common navigation pane of the Knox Admin Portal, navigate to Knox Manage > Profiles and policies.
2. Click on the profile name that you’re using to push the contact list.
3. Click EDIT PROFILE. The Edit Profile page opens.
4. Navigate to Device > Contact, then click Bulk Upload.
5. On the Bulk upload contact list page, click Browse file.
6. Review the guidelines and upload your contact list, then click Add.
7. Save the profile and push it to your device fleet.
8. Verify that all devices receive the contact list.
9. Repeat steps 2 to 8 until all parts of the contact list are pushed.
