Device actions

Device actions allow you to manage and monitor your devices at a glance.

To perform console-based device actions:

  1. On the Devices page, select one or more devices.
  2. Click ACTIONS.
  3. Select a device action.

Available device actions

You can perform the following device actions:

Action Description
Ping device for location Request the location of the device.
View device location See the device's location history after performing the Ping device for location action.
Manage device tags Add or remove tags for the device. For more information, see Manage device nicknames and tags.
Launch Knox Remote Support Open the Knox Remote Support console to view and control the device's screen remotely. For more information, see the Knox Remote Support documentation.
Update license Update the device's license. You may want to update the license on one of your devices if it has expired and did not automatically renew, or is mismatched.
Unenroll device Unenroll the device. This removes the device from the server and vacates its license seat for another device to use. For more information, see Unenroll and delete devices.
View device log View a log of device actions performed so far, past device statuses, and diagnostic information. To learn more, see View devices.
View device deletion log View a log of devices that were deleted from your Knox Manage tenant. For more information, see Unenroll and delete devices.
Download devices as XLSX Download a list of all devices in your Knox Manage tenant.
Delete device Remove the device from your Knox Manage tenant. You must first unenroll the device from your tenant before you can delete it. For more information, see Unenroll and delete devices.
