How to prevent Knox Configure client app from copying to new device during data transfer

When transferring data from a device that was previously enrolled in Knox Configure (KC) to a new device using Samsung Switch, you may want to prevent the KC client application from being copied to the new device.

How do I prevent the Knox Configure client app from being transferred to my new device?

By Samsung Switch design, the KC client is included in the data backup and transfer between devices. Instead, you can use Samsung Cloud to sync your call logs, messages, apps, and other device data to a new device without the KC Client.

To transfer your device data using Samsung Cloud:

  1. On the old device, go to Settings > Accounts and backup > Samsung Cloud.
  2. Sign in to your Samsung Account.
  3. Select Back up this phoneBack up.
