Knox Guard 23.12 release notes

Last updated December 6th, 2023

CSV download improvements in activity log when number of devices exceed 10,000

Starting with Knox Guard 23.12, you can now download the activity log and device log from the Activity log page when the number of devices exceeds 10,000. Unlike with smaller device totals, where the download link is immediately available, when downloading a log containing 10,000 or more devices, the file is generated asynchronously and becomes available when it’s ready.

Maximum number of SIM control policies increased from five to ten

With this release, the number of SIM control policies that can be applied is increased from five to ten, to accommodate deployments that operate with a higher number of mobile carriers.

Increased character limit for enrollment messages

The character limit for enrollment messages has now been increased from 200 to 300 to allow you to provide more information to your users.

Activity log enhancements

Previously, for accounts with large number of devices, the Activity log page would sometimes time out and not display any data.

Starting with Knox Guard 23.12, the default filter for the activity log has been changed to Last 7 days to mitigate that issue by showing fewer activities. You can still view all activities by clicking Show all in the filter.

This release delivers a significant update to Knox cloud infrastructure that further hardens how fields with personally identifiable information (PII) are stored. This update impacts how you can search for PII across all Knox services.

For the technical details about this update, as well as an up-to-date breakdown of how this affects Knox Guard, see Security notice regarding storage and search behavior for PII.
