Locate missing devices
You can now track lost or stolen devices even when they’re offline using the new Mark as missing feature on the Location dashboard. When you mark a device as missing, it leverages Samsung’s Find My Mobile and SmartThings Find network to relay location data through nearby Galaxy devices, enabling tracking even without network connectivity. See Locate missing devices to learn more.
Customize dashboard widgets
You can now customize the appearance and layout of dashboard tiles — also known as widgets — using the new Edit mode. While in Edit mode, you can resize widgets to control how much horizontal space they occupy, adjust widget font size for better visibility on large displays, and quickly toggle which insights appear on the dashboard without navigating to Settings. To learn more, see Customize widgets.
View full screen dashboard
A new Enter full screen view button is available on the Dashboard, letting you hide browser navigation and system menus for easier viewing of insights on large displays.
Updates
Location dashboard permission changes
The permission required to use Find asset and Get the latest location actions on the Location dashboard has changed. Previously, these features were controled by Manage dashboard view and data collection under Dashboard. Now, you can control these features by the Manage devices > Accept, reject, upload… permission under the Devices and Uploads group. For more information about admin permissions, see Manage admins and roles.
Enroll devices without Android Enterprise
Previously, Knox Asset Intelligence enrollment required devices to be managed through Android Enterprise (either fully managed/Device Owner or work profile mode). This meant companies needed an EMM or UEM solution or had to configure Android Enterprise enrollment profiles.
In this release, you can now enroll devices into Knox Asset Intelligence without requiring Android Enterprise management. This new enrollment method is designed for organizations that want to monitor their device fleet’s health and performance but don’t have an EMM solution or the IT resources to manage Android Enterprise configurations.
To enroll devices without Android Enterprise, you can directly install the Knox Asset Intelligence agent on your devices and enroll them without the previous Android Enterprise prerequisites.
