Overview

This article provides information on basic policies to set in KC in order to restrict a user from sharing device data.

How can I restrict the access and sharing of device data?

Below is a list of policies available in KC to restrict a user from sharing device data.

  1. In the KC console, under Profiles, select Create profile.
  2. On the Device Connectivity page, ensure you:
    • Select Disable Bluetooth
    • Select Disable NFC
    • Under USB Connection > Set default USB connection type to Charging
  3. On the Device Settings page:
    • Under Hide Settings menu/elements, select Bluetooth and Developer
    • Under Developer settings, select Disable USB debugging mode
    • Under Security, select Disable SD Card Access
  4. On the Restrictions page:
    • Under DEVICE FUNCTIONALITY:
      • Select Prevent end-users capturing the screen
      • Select Prevent end-users from sending SMS
      • Select Prevent end-users from sending MMS
    • Under USB DEVICE RESTRICTIONS:
      • Select Disable USB Media Transfer Protocol (MTP)

This is not an exhaustive list of policies to block all existing sharing methods.
