Overview

When uploading APKs, content, wallpapers, and boot or shutdown animation files to a Knox Configure profile, you may encounter an error when downloading these files during device configuration.

Cause

Knox Configure supports new naming requirements for file uploads. If you attempt to upload a file with restricted characters to a Knox Configure profile, you won’t receive a warning and the file successfully uploads to the profile. However, during device configuration, a file download error occurs, and enrollment fails.

Resolution

When uploading APKs, content, wallpapers, and boot or shutdown animations, file names must consist only of the following characters:

  • Alphanumeric characters: A-Z / a-z / 0-9
  • Special characters: ( ) - _ . & $ @ = ; + ,
  • Single spaces (multiple spaces aren’t allowed)
  • Korean characters

If device configuration fails due to a file download error, ensure that the file name meets the above requirements before trying again. The Knox Configure team is working to add a warning in a future release.
