Last updated December 7th, 2023

Next, create a profile to manage your uploaded devices. Knox Mobile Enrollment supports two types of profiles:

  • Android Enterprise — This profile lets you manage your devices in fully managed mode and create work profiles on company-owned devices. For more information, see how to create Android Enterprise profiles.

  • Android Enterprise (Advanced) — In addition to the features you enjoy with Android Enterprise profiles, Android Enterprise (Advanced) profiles provide you with more control over the EMM enrollment process and protect information on lost or stolen devices. For more information, see how to create Android Enterprise (Advanced) profiles.

You must have a valid Knox Suite license to use the features of advanced profiles.

Before you create a profile, ensure you have information for the following profile specifications as per your EMM guide:

  • EMM agent APK — Once you select a supported EMM from the Pick your EMM list, you can select EMMs with APKs available through Managed Google Play, after which Knox Mobile Enrollment validates the APK URL. This APK can be locally hosted on an intranet server and can be public or private.

  • EMM server URI (optional) — The EMM URI points to the selected EMM’s enterprise installation.

  • Custom EMM JSON data (optional) — Some EMMs may require you to manually enter their APK URL. If this field isn’t automatically populated, refer to your EMM guide.

  • DualDAR (optional) — You can enable DualDAR to safeguard your device data with double-layer encryption.

To use DualDAR on devices, you need a Knox Platform for Enterprise DualDAR license. Contact your reseller to purchase a Knox Platform for Enterprise DualDAR license. For more information, see DualDAR overview.
