Knox Service Plugin crashes after being installed in Knox Workspace

Environment

• Knox Platform for Enterprise (KPE)
• Knox Service Plugin (KSP)

Overview

Some users are encountering an issue where, after installing KSP in a legacy Knox Workspace and selecting “Apply latest policies” from the UEM, the KSP client crashes.

Cause

KSP does not officially support Knox Legacy containers.

Resolution

KSP is designed for Android Enterprise configurations, such as:

• Device Owner (DO)
• Profile Owner (PO)
• Company Owned, Personally Enabled (COPE)
