New policy for side key SOS calls

This policy is under Device-wide policies > Advanced Restriction policies.

New policy to configure DeX open app limit

Previously, DeX only allowed device users to have up to five apps open at once.

With this release of Knox Service Plugin, you can allow up to 15 apps to be open at once with the Configure the number of apps open limit on DeX policy. This feature provides your device users with more flexibility while multitasking using DeX.

This policy is under DeX customization profile.

Support to configure NTP server information

Corporate networks may block access to public servers, including public NTP servers, to comply with security policies.

With this release of Knox Service Plugin, you can configure devices to use a local NTP server for setting date and time. This feature allows your fleet of devices to synchronize date and time while connected to your internal corporate network.

For more information, see Date Time Change policies.

This policy is only supported on devices running Knox 3.10 and higher.

Support to restrict open Wi-Fi hotspots

This release of Knox Service Plugin introduces the Block open Wi-Fi hotspot policy, which allows you to prevent device users from creating Wi-Fi hotspots with no password. This feature further secures your corporate devices from unauthorized connections.

This policy is under Device-wide policies > Device Controls > Wi-Fi Policy.

New policy to control Edge panel

This release of Knox Service Plugin introduces the Allow Edge screen policy. You can use this policy to enable or disable Edge panel functionalities.

This policy is under Device-wide policies > Device Restrictions.

Support to disable Grammarly on the keyboard toolbar

With this release, you can disable Grammarly on the Samsung keyboard toolbar. This feature provides more control over the use of third-party applications on the keyboard.

This policy is under Device and Settings customization profile > Samsung keyboard controls > Samsung Keyboard Toolbar Controls.

This policy is only available on devices running One UI 6.1.1 and higher

Improvement to feedback messages

This release of Knox Service Plugin introduces improvements to feedback and error messages, providing you with more information to help troubleshoot issues with device policies and management.

Deprecation

Notice regarding policy deprecation

The Configure the screen capture file storage path policy will no longer be supported with the release of Android 15. The policy will be removed from Knox Service Plugin, making it impossible for work screenshots to be saved in the personal profile, further securing enterprise data assets.
