Overview

When you try to use an app in the Separated Apps folder, you may encounter the following error message:

Something went wrong

Check that Google Play is enabled on your device and that you’re using an up-to-date version before opening the app. If the problem persists try reinstalling the app.

Cause

This issue occurs when the app can’t be validated by Google Play Store. Some apps must be validated through Google Play Services via the Google Play Store — this ensures the app is authentic and downloaded from the official store. Even though Google Play Services is installed inside Separated Apps, the Google Play Store itself is blocked. As a result, a verification check can’t be completed, and apps that require this validation can’t run inside the Separated Apps folder.

Resolution

If you want to use apps that require Google Play Store validation, they must be installed outside the Separated Apps folder.

If you’re still experiencing issues, submit a support ticket.
