Unable to block new window launch on tablets running standalone DeX mode

Overview
On tablets running standalone DeX mode, you may encounter an issue where device users are able to launch a new window by tapping + in the Recent Apps menu, even if standard DeX restriction policies are configured and active.
Cause
Standalone DeX mode is not processed as a classic DeX connection. It’s built directly on Android’s native multi-window framework, which prevents standard DeX restriction policies from intercepting this multitasking shortcut in standalone DeX mode.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, configure the Multiple Windows policy to Disallow in your MDM console. If you’re using Knox Manage as your MDM console:
- On your Knox Manage original console, navigate to Profile.
- Click on the profile name assigned to the affected devices, then click Modify Policy.
- Navigate to Samsung Knox > Kiosk.
- Set Multiple Windows to Disallow.
- Save and push the updated profile to your devices.
