Samsung Knox Classroom brings class organization, live student monitoring, and focused-learning controls into a unified interface. Teachers use it to create classes, guide activities on student devices, and provide timely support during a session. Students collaborate and learn on their own devices. IT administrators set everything up once, then it just works. It’s classroom management that fits how schools actually teach.

This guide is designed for educational institutions using Samsung devices for digital learning. Primary users include:

Focused learning

Teachers can help students stay on task during a live session. Focus mode opens and locks the selected app or website on student devices, and device locking helps redirect students when needed.

Real-time support

Teachers can view student screens during a session to identify who needs help. When appropriate, teachers can remotely control a student’s device to provide hands-on support.

Organized classroom management

Teachers can create classes, share class codes, organize students into groups, and send announcements to the class. IT administrators manage the Samsung Account for Education access that teachers and students need to use Knox Classroom.

Network requirements

For teachers, provide a network connection of at least 3.1 Mbps. Live View can display up to nine student thumbnails at once; each thumbnail uses 180p resolution and requires 125 kbps. Sharing a screen at 720p requires 2 Mbps.

For students, screen sharing requires a network connection of at least 2.1 Mbps.
