Knox Deployment Program 22.08 release notes

Last updated April 25th, 2023

Transition of Knox Deployment Program into the Knox Partner Program

The Knox Partner Program is expanding to incorporate device resellers. Members of the Knox Partner Program enjoy access to many exclusive partner benefits and features, like marketing resources, opportunities to promote your solutions, and support. From August 2022 onward, new users can register for the Knox Deployment Program (KDP) through the Knox Partner Program.

If you’re an existing KDP reseller, you can continue accessing the Knox Reseller Portal from My Knox until November 2022. Or, to enjoy the most up-to-date features, you can transition to the Knox Partner Program after signing in to SamsungKnox.com — no additional registration is required. Once the transition is complete, you will be redirected to the Knox Partner Portal for all future sessions. After opening the Knox Partner Portal, click Knox Reseller Portal to open the portal at its new address, https://partner.samsungknox.com/dashboard.

Support for secondary IMEIs on dual-SIM devices

Previously, the Knox Reseller Portal wouldn’t report the secondary IMEI (IMEI2) of dual-SIM devices.

Device search, device lists, and device detail pages on the portal, as well as exported reports now support queries for a device’s secondary IMEI. If a dual-SIM device returns only one IMEI, the IMEI is denoted by either IMEI1 or IMEI2, depending on which SIM slot the card occupies on the device.

Any dual-SIM device that you upload to your tenant after release day will immediately register its IMEI2, if the identifier is available. However, it will take additional time on the Knox back end to gather the IMEI2s of all dual-SIM devices that were uploaded before release day. The anticipated completion date for gathering all IMEI2s is September 1, 2022, PDT.

Resellers can upload devices to MSPs who have reseller accounts

If you have MSP and reseller accounts that share the same MSP ID, other resellers can upload devices to your MSP account.
