Welcome to Knox Attestation, a web service that lets you check the health of a Samsung Android device, to ensure that it does not compromise the integrity of mobile assets. Before deploying devices for enterprise usage, you can verify that a device:
- has not been rooted
- is not running unofficial firmware
This guide provides information on how to set up, configure, and use Knox Attestation.
This guide is suitable for a wide range of developers who want to use the Knox Attestation service — from developers creating Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to Independent Software Vendors (ISV) wanting to ensure their apps run on secure devices only.

|Use the Attestation REST APIs|
If you want to configure a mutual SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) connection for open APIs, contact customer support. This is optional; you can still use the Knox REST APIs without setting up mutual SSL.
