The Knox 3.12 platform introduces these updates:

Enhanced Galaxy AI management

Android 16 introduces a wider range of Galaxy AI features for business productivity, and enterprise customers can control these Galaxy AI features individually with Knox Service Plugin on the Knox 3.12 platform. These enhancements allow businesses to maximize productivity with Galaxy AI, while restricting specific features to fit corporate security policies.

Enhanced Samsung DeX with OneUI 8

Samsung DeX now includes desktop windowing capabilities, which allows users to seamlessly make use of multiple displays as a workspace, along with dynamic multi-window functionality for enhanced flexibility and productivity. The release also includes performance enhancements for Samsung DeX.

Enterprises can continue to control DeX behavior and functionality with the Knox 3.12 platform.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 support

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 supports Knox 3.12, bringing enhanced control over the latest Galaxy AI features and device management improvements to the newest Galaxy Z devices.

API deprecation

As part of Samsung’s ongoing upkeep and maintenance of services, we deprecate Knox APIs from time to time. We recommend that you replace newly deprecated APIs before they are removed permanently.

The APIs deprecated in Knox 3.12 continue to work normally for Android 16. For more information, see the complete list of Deprecated API methods in Knox developer documentation.

Technical support for the deprecated APIs is available for up to one year after the deprecation. The APIs continue to be available in the second year after deprecation, but satisfactory operation is not guaranteed. Please see our FAQ for details about deprecated API support.
