Overview

If the package com.android.systemui is enabled in Microsoft Intune with Managed Home Screen, you may encounter an issue where several Deep Settings Customization policies from Knox Service Plugin aren’t applying to the device.

Cause

The System UI package com.android.systemui is added to Microsoft Intune as a protected package. When the Deep Settings Customization configuration from Knox Service Plugin is applied to the device, it requires disabling a component of the system UI to prevent the device user from accessing the settings menu with the search feature. Since the com.android.systemui package is protected, the component can’t be disabled, causing the issue.

Workaround

To resolve the issue, you must disable the com.android.systemui package in Microsoft Intune before deploying your Deep Settings Customization policies.
