User agreements for Android device management
Last updated July 26th, 2023
This article provides an overview of the user agreements required by the Knox Platform for Enterprise (KPE) license in the course of managing an Android device. These agreements are detailed in two documents:
- The Knox Privacy Policy
- The KPE Terms & Conditions (T&C)
When a KPE license is activated on a device, the device user is presented with a consent screen for each document. Enrollment won’t proceed if they don’t consent to both. Over the course of the development of KPE, consent process has simplified. This article outlines the differences between each Android OS and Android device management mode.
Some EMM Device Policy Controllers (DPCs) activate the KPE Standard key to enable specific features on Samsung devices.
