Knox Mobile Enrollment 24.09 release notes

Last updated September 25th, 2024

New

Notification for unsupported Android version

Starting with Knox Mobile Enrollment 24.09, if you enroll a device running an unsupported Android version, a notification will be displayed on the device when the device user first signs in. The device may still proceed with enrollment, however we cannot guarantee that the enrollment functionalities and the security capabilities will function as intended.

This feature will be available starting Android 15, which means the notification will first appear when Android 15 is no longer supported.

To view the most up-to-date list of devices that Knox Mobile Enrollment supports, see Devices Secured by Knox.

Enhanced authentication with OAuth 2.0

Knox Mobile Enrollment now supports OAuth 2.0 authentication for access and use of APIs. The OAuth 2.0 scopes are available at Scopes for Knox cloud services APIs.

For more information about Knox Mobile Enrollment APIs, see the Knox Mobile Enrollment developer guide.

Updates

Updates to the Google service screens

Previously, you could select the option to skip the Google service screens when enrolling company-owned devices with work profiles running Android 13 or higher, and fully managed devices running Android 14 or higher.

Starting with Knox Mobile Enrollment 24.09, this feature is no longer supported on devices running Android 15 or higher, allowing device end users to select and accept the Google service settings.

Upcoming profile creation revamp

The ability to create profiles is a key feature in Knox Mobile Enrollment. In order to provide an even more seamless and intuitive user experience, a redesigned version of the profile creation workflow is in active development. Stay updated with our progress in the future release notes.
