Modify profiles

After you create a profile, you can make changes to it at any time. On this page, you’ll find instructions on how to duplicate and delete profiles.
Edit an enrollment profile
To edit a profile’s information:
- Go to the Enrollment profiles page in the Knox Admin Portal.
- select a Profile Name. The Edit enrollment profile page displays.
- Navigate to the section you want to change, click Edit, and adjust the settings as desired.
- After you’ve made the required changes, click Save, or Save and assign the profile to your devices.
To apply your changes, you must assign the updated profile, then factory reset the device.
As Knox Mobile Enrollment only supports one profile per device, when you assign the updated profile, the existing settings on your devices are completely replaced.
Duplicate an existing enrollment profile
If you’ve already created a profile with your specific configurations and device settings, you can duplicate it instead of creating a new one from scratch.

Select a profile name.

Click Actions > Duplicate to edit. The Clone profile dialog displays.

Click Duplicate to proceed. The Create enrollment profile page displays.

Update the profile settings if required. For information about the settings, see Create an enrollment profile.
To duplicate an existing profile, you must change its Profile name, as no two profiles can have the same name.
The new profile is added to the enrollment profiles list.
Unassign an enrollment profile
You can manually unassign an enrollment profile on the Devices page of the Knox Mobile Enrollment console or the common device list in the Knox Admin Portal. If you want to unassign enrollment profiles for a large device fleet, we recommend you use bulk actions instead.
When you unassign an enrollment profile, out-of-box experience (OOBE) enrollment is disabled on your device for EMM and Knox cloud services.
To unassign an enrollment profile for a single device:
- On the Knox Mobile Enrollment console, click Devices. The Devices page displays.
- Select a device IMEI/MEID. The device details panel displays.
- In the Enrollment profiles drop-down, select Clear profiles.
- Click SAVE.
To unassign an enrollment profile for multiple devices at once:
- On the Knox Mobile Enrollment console, click Devices. The Devices page displays.
- Select one or more devices.
- Click Actions > Configure devices. The Configure selected devices dialog displays.
- In Modify Profile of selected devices drop-down, select Clear profiles.
- Click SAVE.
Delete an enrollment profile
If you no longer require or use an enrollment profile, you can permanently delete it from the console.
- On the Enrollment profiles page, select a profile name.
- Click Actions > Delete profile. The Delete profile dialog displays.
- Click Delete to proceed.
The profile is removed from the enrollment profiles list.
