Location dashboard device groupings feature temporarily unavailable

As part of Samsung’s ongoing efforts to continuously enhance security measures across all Knox cloud services, the Location dashboard’s device groupings feature - which displays clustered device locations on a map - will be temporarily unavailable, starting with this release.

This change will allow us to greatly improve the encryption of all location-related data, therefore ensuring the strongest protection of your personal information. We are working diligently to complete these improvements and restore full functionality in an upcoming release of Knox Asset Intelligence.

Update to Location dashboard assets

Previously, you could view and manage location assets on a dedicated Assets page in the Knox Asset Intelligence console. Starting with 26.03, assets can now be found on the Location dashboard page, in the table below the map. Additionally, you can now click the address in the LAST LOCATION column to show the device’s last known location on the map.

Update to device search behavior

Previously, you could search for a device in Knox Asset Intelligence’s Devices page by partially entering an IMEI or serial number. Starting with 26.03, the partial search functionality is no longer available in Knox Asset Intelligence’s Devices page. However, you can search a partial IMEI or serial number in the Knox Admin Portal’s Devices page under the following conditions:

  • Enter the first 13–15 characters of an IMEI (IMEI prefix)
  • Enter the first 9–11 characters of a serial number (serial number prefix)
  • Enter the last 4–6 characters of an IMEI (IMEI postfix) or serial number (serial number postfix)
