New

Create customized reports using Dynamic Data Export (Labs)

You can now generate custom reports tailored to your business needs using the new Dynamic Data Export feature, available from the left navigation pane. With Dynamic Data Export, you can combine various data insights, such as low battery events, total network usage, and app abnormal events, into a consolidated report, eliminating the need to view reports for each insight separately.

And with the ability to output your data in Table, Line graph, or Pie chart format, you can ensure that your custom reports are relevant, impactful, and understandable to both technical and non-technical audiences. To learn more about Dynamic Data Export, see Create Dynamic Data Export reports.

Support for device health score information on agent

The Knox Asset Intelligence agent now provides device health information on the home screen under Diagnostics. The Device health field provides a Good, Normal, or Bad status, letting you know if your device is performing optimally, or if it has issues that require corrective actions.

You can tap the Device health field to view a consolidated Health score, along with a breakdown of the issues or events that contributed to the health score calculation. To learn more, see Use agent app and Device health

Support for Smart Battery data collection

To help you better manage your device fleet’s battery health and performance and in support of devices with smart batteries, several additional battery fields are now added to Knox Asset Intelligence.

These new fields, which include the battery’s manufacture date, serial number, part number, first-use date, and charging cycle, can be found on the agent’s Diagnostics > Battery screen, and in the console’s Device details panel and Device snapshot report. Additionally, for devices featuring dual smart batteries, data is displayed for each battery separately.

Updates

Role permission changes for approving reseller uploads

Previously, you could allow sub-admins to approve reseller uploaded devices by granting them the Reseller > Approve uploads permission in Knox Asset Intelligence. Now, the permission to approve reseller uploads is controlled through the Knox Admin Portal, which can be found in:

Service Permission group Permission
Common Devices Manage devices > Approve devices

uploads permission location in common service

To provide a better experience for customers of multiple Knox cloud services, several device management workflows in the Knox Asset Intelligence console were moved to the Devices page of the Knox Admin Portal (also referred to as the common device list):

  • The uploads table previously available in the Knox Asset Intelligence console’s Devices > UPLOADS tab is no longer available. The upload data is now shown in the Knox Admin Portal’s Devices page > UPLOADS tab.

  • Settings that were previously available in the Knox Asset Intelligence console’s Upload details > ACTIONS menu are now available in the Knox Admin Portal’s Devices page > UPLOADS tab.

  • The following options are removed from the Knox Asset Intelligence console’s Devices > ACTIONS menu, as well as from the Devices > BULK ACTIONS tab:

    • Enable auto enrollment
    • Disable auto enrollment
  • In the Knox Asset Intelligence console’s Devices > BULK ACTIONS tab, when clicking UPLOAD DEVICES, you’re now redirected to the device upload workflow on the Knox Admin Portal’s Devices page > BULK ACTIONS tab.

  • When clicking the Upload ID in the Knox Asset Intelligence console’s Device details panel, you’ll now be redirected to the Knox Admin Portal’s Devices page, with the table filtered by devices related to that specific upload ID.

  • Knox Asset Intelligence will no longer record or trigger an activity log, notification or email alert when devices are uploaded by a reseller.
