Manage Admins

The Admins & Roles page allows you to invite other administrators in your organization to help manage your customers and services. When inviting other admins, you can choose to grant them full access to all Knox MSP Portal functionality, or you can create a custom Role that limits them to specific pages or actions.
When you visit this page, you’ll land on the ADMINS tab by default. This tab displays a list of every Knox MSP Portal administrator added to your account.
The following information is available in the table:
- NAME — The first and last name of the admin. Click an admin’s name to edit their details.
- EMAIL — The email address assigned to the admin.
- ROLE — The Knox MSP Portal role assigned to the admin. Click a role to see a summary of the Role’s permissions.
- CUSTOMERS — The customers that the admin is authorized to manage.
- STATUS — The status of the admin in the Knox MSP Portal. the following status are displayed:
- Active — The admin has signed up, and is given access to the Knox MSP Portal.
- Pending — The admin was invited to the Knox MSP Portal, but had not yet completed the sign up process.
- Revoked — The admin was invited to the Knox MSP Portal, but the Super Admin canceled the invitation before the admin could sign up.
- Blocked — The admin was given access to the Knox MSP Portal, but the Super Admin has deactivated the admin’s account. Blocked admins can be reactivated at any time by the Super Admin.
Invite an admin
Admins need to be invited to your account before they can manage your customers and services. To invite an MSP admin:

On the Admins & Roles page, click Invite next to the Search bar.

On the Invite admin page, enter the admin’s first name, last name, and email address.

Select a Role to assign to the admin.
- If you want to give your admins full access to all pages and actions the Knox MSP Portal, you can select the MSP Admin role.
- If you want to restrict your admins to specific pages and actions, you’ll need to first create a role before continuing.

Select the Customers that you want the admin to manage. All customers are selected by default.

Click INVITE to send an email to the admin, inviting them to sign up for the Knox MSP Portal.
Invite admins in bulk
If you want to invite multiple admins to the Knox MSP Portal at the same time, you can do this using a bulk invite CSV file. To do this:

On the Admins & Roles page, click Invite next to the Search bar.

On the Invite admin page, click the link to invite multiple administrators using a CSV. The Bulk invite admin screen opens.

If this is your first time performing a bulk invite, download the CSV template and enter the names and email addresses of your admins. If you already have a template, click BROWSE to upload your CSV file.
You can click the info icon in the bottom left corner of the page for instructions on how to properly fill out the CSV template.

Select the Role to assign to your admins.

Select the Customers that you want your admins to manage. By default, all customers are selected.

Click INVITE to send emails to every admin listed in your CSV file, inviting them to sign up for the Knox MSP Portal.
Edit an admin’s details
After an admin is invited to your Knox MSP Portal, you can click the admin’s name to view and edit their account details. To edit an admin:

On the Admins & Roles page, click the admin’s name. You can also use the Search bar to find an admin based on their name or email address.

On the Edit admin page, change the First name, Last name, Role, or Customer To Manage as required.

Click SAVE.
Deactivate an admin
If you want to stop an admin from accessing your Knox MSP Portal or managing your customer’s services, you can deactivate their account. To do this:

On the Admins & Roles page, click the admin’s name. You can also use the Search bar to find an admin based on their name or email address.

On the Edit admin page, click DEACTIVATE ACCOUNT, then in the pop-up window, click DEACTIVATE.

Click DEACTIVATE. Once an admin is deactivated, the admin loses access to the Knox MSP Portal, but they will remain in your account with a Blocked status.
You can only deactivate admins in an Active state.
