Confirm PIN without tapping OK isn’t available for lock screen

• Knox Platform for Enterprise
• Android Enterprise
• Work profile on company-owned device
• Samsung device running Android 11 or 12

Overview

Samsung devices support a feature that allows a device user to confirm the PIN without tapping OK on the lock screen. However, for company-owned devices with a work profile, this feature isn’t available.

Cause

As a security precaution, the option to confirm the PIN without tapping OK was removed for company-owned devices running Android 11 or 12 that are enrolled with a work profile.

This feature was re-introduced for devices running Android 13 and higher.
