Notice of upcoming Microsoft Exchange Online ActiveSync device support restrictions

Overview

Starting March 1st, 2026, Microsoft Exchange Online will no longer support older ActiveSync connections. Only Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync version 16.1 or higher is supported.

As Samsung Email uses Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for email synchronization, an upcoming Samsung Email release in February 2026 will update Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to v16.1 to accommodate this change.

Required actions

The Feburary 2026 update to the Samsung Email app will increase the minimum supported Android version to Android 10 OS. Ensure your devices update to this OS or higher.
