Overview

When adding a Microsoft 365 account to Samsung Email, you might encounter an issue where authentication fails with the following 404 status:

The requested content does not exist.

Cause

If you are unable to update the app, a workaround is available. To resolve the issue, the device user must configure the Defaults field in the Samsung Email app settings:

  1. On the device, go to Settings.
  2. Tap Apps > Samsung Email.
  3. Tap Set as default.
  4. Enable Open supported links.

If the issue persists, the device user must open the website in Samsung Internet when adding the account:

  1. While on the 404 status page, tap the ellipses on the top right of the browser.
  2. Tap Open in Samsung Internet. The Samsung Internet browser opens.
  3. On the browser, tap the Samsung Email icon next to the URL to finish adding your account.
