Disabling notifications for Samsung Email also disables Calendar and Contacts notifications

• Knox Platform for Enterprise
• Samsung Email version 6.1.90.16
• Devices running Android 13 and higher

Overview

Disabling notifications from Samsung Email causes the Calendar and Contacts apps to stop showing notifications.

Cause

Starting with Android 13 (API level 33), notification permissions for the Samsung Email, Calendar, and Contacts apps are grouped together in a way that disabling notifications for Samsung Email also disables notifications for Calendar and Contacts.

Resolution

A fix for this issue has been released with Samsung Email version 6.1.91.13. Please update the Samsung Email app to the latest version.
