How to deploy fully managed devices in China

Environment

• Knox Mobile Enrollment Direct
• Devices running Android 11 (Knox 3.7.1) or higher
• PC running the Windows operating system
• China region

Overview

For devices purchased in China running region-based firmware, the following deployment methods are not supported:

• Zero-touch enrollment
• Knox Mobile Enrollment

For devices running Knox 3.7.1 and higher, Knox Mobile Enrollment Direct is supported for Android Enterprise deployments, and can be used to deploy to devices purchased in China with region-based firmware.

How to deploy fully managed devices with Knox Mobile Enrollment Direct

First, install Knox Mobile Enrollment Direct from https://www.samsungknox.cn:

1. Sign in to https://www.samsungknox.cn.
2. Click KME Direct.
3. Download and install Knox Mobile Enrollment Direct.

Next, create and deploy a device profile:

1. Create a deployment profile with Knox Mobile Enrollment Direct.
2. Deploy the profile to the device.
