Exit Kiosk mode

You can take a user’s device out of Kiosk mode without changing or removing the Kiosk device profile.

Send a device command

When a device successfully communicates with the server, you can send a command for the device to exit Kiosk mode. To send a command:

  1. Go to the Devices page and select a device.
  2. Click ACTIONS > Perform action on device > Exit Kiosk mode.

Send an Exit Kiosk code

The Exit kiosk code lets users exit the kiosk from their devices. This feature applies to all kiosks, regardless of whether they’re properly communicating with the server.

To find this code:

  1. Go to the Devices page and select a device.
  2. From the menu that opens, go to Security > Kiosk. Copy the Exit kiosk code.

If the device is deleted from Knox Manage, go to the Devices page and click ACTIONS > View device deletion log. Search for the device you want to find. The Exit Kiosk Code appears in its details.

After you send the Exit Kiosk Code code to the user, they must:

  1. Tap .
  2. On the About Kiosk screen, tap Exit Kiosk.
  3. Enter the Exit Kiosk Code.

To re-enter Kiosk mode

An admin must apply a profile update to the device.
