Delete a profile

If you no longer need to manage devices with a certain profile, you can delete it.

As policies can belong to multiple profiles, the policies that were once associated with a profile are unaffected even after deleting the profile. For a refresher on the difference between profiles and policies, see What’s the difference between a profile and a policy?.

If the profile you want to delete is still assigned to existing groups, you must first unassign it from all of its groups before deleting it.

To delete a profile:

  1. Go to Profiles.
  2. Select one or more profiles to delete.
  3. Click ACTIONS > Delete profile(s).
