Overview

When creating a profile in Knox Manage, you can enable or disable all the system apps collectively on an enrolled device. However, there may be instances where you need to control the availability of a single system app only, without affecting any other system apps.

How to enable or disable a specific system app

To enable or disable a system app:

  1. In the Knox Manage console, add the app to the list of system apps.

  2. On the Profile page, select your profile.

  3. Click Modify Policy. The Set Policy page opens.

  4. Click Android Enterprise > App Restrictions, and configure the following policies to enable or disable the app.

    To enable the app:

    Policy Value
    Activate Certain Pre-installed System Apps Apply
    Activate Certain Pre-installed System Apps > App List Add your app

    To disable the app:

    Policy Value
    Block Certain Apps from Running Apply
    Block Certain Apps from Running > App List Add your app
  5. Click Save & Assign to push the profile to your affected devices.
