Overview

You can set the System Language and Device Country in Knox Manage similar to how these can be set in Knox Configure. Some customers need this setting because they’re using Kiosk Mode in Knox Manage but also need to automatically set the language and country.

How do I set system language and device country in Knox Manage?

To set the system language and device country in Knox Manage:

  1. On the Knox Manage Console, go to Profile and select the profile policy you’d like to modify.
  2. On the Set Policy page, go to the Samsung Knox (Android Enterprise) policy drawer and click Knox Service Plugin > Device-wide policies.
  3. Set Enable device Policy Controls to True.
  4. Under Device Settings (Premium), apply the following policies:
    • Set Enable device settings controls to True.
    • Set System Language & Location settings:
      • Set Language: Enter a two-character, lower case, language code as defined in ISO 639-1.
      • Set Location: Enter a two-character, upper case, country code as defined in ISO 3166-1. This can be optionally followed by a hash (#) and a four character script code as defined in ISO 15924.
  5. Click Save. Alternately, click Save & Assign to push the changes to devices.
  6. In the Save & Assign dialog, click OK to confirm.
  7. If the Profile Version Update dialog displays, click OK to update the profile version.
  8. On the Assign Profile page, select the target Group or Organization associated with your device and click Assign & Push. The Push Profile dialog displays.
  9. Review the changes and click OK.

You can check if the policy is applied:

  1. On the Knox Manage console, go to the Device page and select the device.
  2. Go to the Profile tab of the Device Details page to view the policy changes.
