How to use Knox Browser in kiosk mode

Overview

This article provides steps on how to enable Knox Browser in Knox Manage Kiosk mode. Before you begin, you need to register a Knox Suite - Enterprise Plan or Knox Suite - Essentials Plan in your Knox Manage console.

How do I use Knox Browser with Kiosk mode in Knox Manage?

As of Knox Manage 24.09, Knox Browser is available to all tenants as a Utility component in the Kiosk settings. To add the Knox Browser icon in your kiosk:

  1. In the Knox Manage console, click Kiosk.
  2. Select your desired kiosk mode, then click Modify.
  3. Under the Component drop down menu, click and drag the Knox Browser icon to the kiosk preview.
  4. Once your kiosk is configured, click Save > OK to confirm your changes.

To activate Knox Browser in your Android Enterprise profile:

  1. In the Knox Manage console, click Profile.

  2. Select your profile and click Modify Policy.

  3. Under the Android Enterprise policy drawer, click Knox Browser.

  4. Set the following required policies for Knox Browser:

    Policy Value
    Knox Browser App Use
    Homepage URL Enter a valid homepage. Example: https://www.samsungknox.com
  5. (Optional) Set any additional policies you’d like for your Knox Browser.

  6. Click Save & Assign to save your changes and assign the profile to your device fleet.
