Modify applications
Last updated April 14th, 2025
You can modify the basic information of applications, such as the name and category, to change how applications display on your application list.
To do so, complete the following steps:
-
On the Application page, select the application you want to modify.
-
Click Modify.
-
On the Modify Application page, modify the values as needed.
-
For internal applications, you can upload updated versions of installation files, as well as modify the Name, Unassign Option, Description, Icon, and Screenshot fields. However, any Name and Icon changes you make are reflected only on the Knox Manage application list. On the device, all information is displayed based on the APK’s manifest file.
-
For Managed Google Play (Public or Private) applications, you can modify the Name, Uninstall Option, and Description fields. However, any Name and Icon changes you make are reflected only on your application list.
The App Wrapper field is deprecated. If you previously set this field’s value to Yes, this field will remain for your managed app. If you set the value to No, this field is removed, and you can no longer enable this setting.

-
Click Save. Then, click OK on the Save Changes confirmation dialog that appears.
-
(Optional) If you updated the installation file, you can enter a comment for the application’s version history. After saving the comment, you can also send an update request to users who have the previous version of the application still installed.
