Assign iOS App Store applications

To assign applications that were added from the iOS App Store, complete the following steps:

1. Navigate to Application.

2. On the Application page, select the iOS apps that you want to assign.

3. Click Assign.

4. Configure assignment settings on the Assign Application page as follows:

   • Target Device — The target device type. Set to iOS.

   • Installation Type — Specify the installation type for the app you are assigning:

     • Manual — The device user manually installs the app using the agent.
     • Automatic — The app installs automatically.

       Public apps from the iOS App Store cannot be installed automatically.

   • Managed App Configuration — Lets you configure special key-value pairs to override or customize app behavior (if supported by the app). Select Yes, then proceed to add key-value pairs using the Add button next to Key & Value.

     

5. For Target type, search for groups or organizations, then select the intended groups or organizations for the app assignment.

   You can’t assign an app to both groups and organizations at the same time.

6. Click Assign.

7. On the Assign Application page, view the assignment information and click OK.
