Assign ChromeOS apps

Since ChromeOS users and organizations are synced from the Google Admin console, you can only assign ChromeOS apps and extensions to organizations.

To assign a ChromeOS app to an organization:

  1. On the Organization page, choose an organization.

    To make it easier to find ChromeOS organizations, you can filter by organizations managed by the Google Admin console. Click Type > Google Admin, then click Search. In the list of organizations, the Platform & Management Type field contains ChromeOS for organizations that manage Chromebooks.

  2. Click Application. The Select Application dialog opens.

  3. Choose one or more apps to assign, then click Assign.

  4. Choose the type of app to assign:

    • Users & browsers
    • Kiosks
    • Managed guest sessions
  5. Select the apps to assign.

The chosen apps assign to the organization, and deploy to all associated devices.
