Add public apps using Google Play

You can add any free app that’s publicly available on the Google Play platform for installation and management on your devices.

To add a public app from Google Play:

  1. Go to Application and click Add.

  2. In the Select Application Type dialog, select Public - Managed Google Play and click OK.

  3. In the Managed Google Play dialog, search for the app you want to add.

  4. In the search results, click the app you want to add and then click Select.

  5. (Optional) When prompted, override the app’s properties. These only apply to the app’s behavior on the Knox Manage console.

    Property Description
    Name The app’s name on the console.
    Uninstall Option Determines whether the app will uninstall from the device when it’s unassigned.
    Description The app’s description on the console.
  6. Save the app:

    • Click Save & Assign to save and immediately assign the app to your devices.

    • Click Save to save without assigning the app, and return to the app list. You can choose to assign this app at a later date.
