Update or disable offline lock policy

You can automatically lock a device that’s been offline for a given period of time. To configure the tenant-wide policy, see Offline device lock. To make changes to the offline lock policy for a select device, you can use the Update offline lock device action:
Update offline lock policy for select devices
To update the offline lock policy for select devices:

Navigate to the Devices page.

Select the device(s) you wish to update. You can also search for device(s) using the search function.

Click ACTIONS > Manage device > Update offline lock.

To disable offline lock, toggle Offline lock off. To update the policy, you can adjust:
- How long to wait before locking an offline device.
- The Warning notification. This appears to the user as a notification and full-screen message.
- When the warning message is sent.
- The default Offline device lock message shown when the device locks.

You can update the Contact information that displays on the device. You must provide either a Phone number or E-mail address.

Click SAVE.
Update offline lock policy in bulk
You can select devices in bulk by entering their IMEIs or serial numbers into a standardized template. The maximum number of devices you can select in one action is 10,000.
To update the offline lock policy in bulk:

Select BULK ACTIONS in the bottom of the left navigation pane.

To download a standard template, click Download CSV template.
For more information on how to create a properly formatted CSV file for bulk device acceptance, select Instructions for all bulk actions from the bottom left-hand side of the Bulk actions screen.

In the MESSAGING section of the Bulk actions screen, select UPDATE OFFLINE LOCK and upload your CSV file containing the device IDs.

Refer to steps 4 and 5 of the Update offline lock policy for select devices section to:
- Configure your offline lock settings.
- Update your contact information.

Click CONFIRM.
