You can update the status of a device that no longer needs to be managed. Once device management is complete, you can delete the device from Knox Guard. For more information, see Delete devices.

  1. Click BULK ACTIONS in the bottom of the left navigation pane.

  2. To download a standard template, click Download CSV template.

For more information on how to create a properly formatted CSV file, click Instructions for all bulk actions from the bottom left-hand side of the Bulk actions screen.

Complete device management

If a device is marked to complete device management, its status changes to Completing, and the device remains in this state for two days. You have two days to cancel this action and revert the device to the Active state.

If no action is taken after two days, the device’s status changes to Complete and Knox Guard is permanently uninstalled. Additionally, Knox Guard can’t lock or send messages to the device. However, the device isn’t automatically deleted from the Knox Guard server, and must be removed manually.

To complete device management for one or more active devices:

  1. On the Devices page, select one or more devices.

  2. Click ACTIONS > Manage device > Complete device management.

  3. (Optional) Enter a message notifying users that Knox Guard is deactivated on their device.

  4. Click CONFIRM.
