Improvement to device selection for firmware updates
With this release, you can now target all device models, all sales codes within a specific device model, or all CSCs in a specific device model and sales code. This enhancement means that you can target a wider range of devices at once with a single firmware policy, eliminating the need to create a new firmware policy for each unique combination of device model, sales code, and CSC. This feature helps you manage firmware for a fleet of devices with a wide range of models, sales codes, and CSCs.

Enhancement to firmware selection
With Knox E-FOTA 25.01, the Latest firmware - Up to policy now allows you to select a security patch to apply, which pushes the latest firmware within that patch to your devices. This feature gives you more control over the firmware you want to apply to your device fleet.
This feature, combined with the improvements to device selection introduced in this release, allows you to target a wide variety of devices and set all of them to a specific security patch in a single action, further streamlining firmware management for a fleet of devices with a wide range of models, sales codes, and CSCs.

Update
Update to third-party app triggers for firmware installation
With this release, third-party applications that trigger Knox E-FOTA firmware installation must be authenticated and authorized by Samsung. If your organization would like to trigger Knox E-FOTA firmware installation with your app, please contact Samsung support with your app signature and package name.
For more information, see how you can Install firmware with app intent.
Ability to view error codes in exported CSV file
With the 25.01 release, the Knox E-FOTA device list exported to CSV now also includes information about error codes for any client errors.
For more information, see how you can Manage devices.
Enhancement to campaign CSV exports
With the 25.01 release, exporting the Knox E-FOTA campaign list to CSV now provides aggregate device count information for each campaign. This includes device count by model, number, and percentage of devices on each Android version. It also includes number and percentage of devices on each security patch, and the number of devices in each status.
Ability to control OOBE installation of client app
With Knox E-FOTA 25.01, you can now choose to only enable out-of-box-experience (OOBE) installation for devices uploaded by specific resellers. These change give you more control over whether your devices will install the Knox E-FOTA client app during its initial setup, which is useful in scenarios where you’re using Knox E-FOTA with an EMM that may also install apps during initial setup.
You can only enable OOBE installation for a reseller if automatic approvals for device uploads from that reseller are enabled. For more information, see how you can Automatically install and launch the client after unboxing.
Improvements to Knox E-FOTA client user experience
With this release, the Knox E-FOTA client can now display in landscape mode, enhancing the user experience, especially for tablet users. The client now also supports dark mode, offering additional personalization for your device users.
