Enhanced support for Workspace ONE EMM sync

Previously, syncing devices with Workspace ONE using OAuth was only available to IT admins in a particular region.

With Knox E-FOTA 24.09, you can now connect to Workspace ONE using OAuth from all regions. Make sure you enter the token URL specific to your region when you connect with Workspace ONE.

Support for Knox E-FOTA client download using QR code

Knox E-FOTA 24.09 provides support the use of QR codes to download the Knox E-FOTA client. You can provide a QR code to devices users, who can then scan it to easily download the client to their device.

To view the QR code that you can share with device users, go to the Devices page, then click Direct download at the bottom of the page.

Enhancements to firmware information on the Knox E-FOTA client

With the 24.09 release, the Knox E-FOTA client now shows additional information about the Android OS versions of current firmware and incoming firmware updates. The additional firmware information helps device users with troubleshooting or status checks.

Improvement to firmware policy management

Previously, removing all devices associated with a firmware policy also removed the firmware policy from the campaign. This meant that if you wanted to add devices with the same model, sales code, and CSC again, you’d have to create a new firmware policy for those devices.

With Knox E-FOTA 24.09, firmware policies remain on the campaign even when all devices associated with it are removed. This improvement means that you can add devices with the same model, sales code, and CSC again, and they’ll automatically comply with the firmware policy you set previously.

Export firmware trends as a CSV file

With Knox E-FOTA 24.09, you can now export the firmware trend graphs available on the dashboard, and download the trends data as a CSV file. This feature allows you to share the trends data with other admins in your organization and perform complex data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
