Knox Configure for Wearables 1.19 release notes
Last updated July 26th, 2023
Simplified wearable app deployment process
This feature enables IT admins to upload a wearable app directly into the WKC console. This enhancement simplifies the app deployment process for wearable devices, because IT admins will no longer need to register apps on the Galaxy Store.
When an uploaded app is “Ready to deploy”, the IT admin can add the app to a profile. After pushing the profile update, an email is sent to the user to provide notification that app signing has been a success. If app signing fails, the email notification enables IT admins to promptly respond to a failed signing event. Learn more about uploading a wearable application.
Note that an error message will appear if an unsupported file format is uploaded, or if the file exceeds a specific size, an error message. The supported file format is .tpk.
Option added to disable NFC
This feature provides more control over device connectivity by enabling the IT admin to disable NFC from the Knox Configure Console. Included in this update is a tool tip that notifies the user that they’ll be unable to change the NFC settings once disabled by the IT admin.
