Uploading an application to KC fails with a 400003 error

Environment

• Knox Configure China (KC China)

Overview

IT administrators are reporting that some applications are failing to be uploaded to the KC China portal. You may be presented with the following error:

The application is invalid: the manifest XML is missing. [400003]

Cause

KC China is unable to detect the manifest file of the APK.

Resolution

The KC China team is currently working on a fix. Please check back for updates on the release.

Workaround

Add the APK file to devices in the KC profile under Applications & content > Content instead.

The end user will need to install the APK file manually by accessing the content folder once the device has been configured to the KC profile.
