Launch immediately on every boot-up feature is delayed in Knox Configure

Overview

Knox Configure (KC) supports a feature that allows a specified application to be launched immediately when a device is booted. You can configure the Launch immediately on every boot-up feature in the Applications & content section of your KC profile.

After the Samsung launcher loads, you may experience a 30-second delay before the application launches.

Cause

This is expected behavior. After the device boots, the KC client must receive the boot message to launch, in addition to the time required to launch the application. This causes a short launch delay after boot-up.

Workaround

If your application must be launched immediately, you may use a KC profile configured in Prokiosk mode with the application set as the Prokiosk mode home activity.
