Overview
Some administrators are encountering a 51010 error if they apply the following KC feature, Installation allowlist and enrolling the device in KM.
The device logs in your KC console specifies the error message:
Error 51010: An error occurred with addAppPackageNameToWhitelist: com.samsung.android.knox.kpu in your profile. Check the configuration items in your profile and retry.
Error 51010: An error occurred with addAppPackageNameToWhitelist: com.sds.emm.cloud.knox.samsung in your profile. Check the configuration items in your profile and retry.
Cause
The application package names are not specified in the installation allowlist for:
- Knox Service Plugin
- Samsung Knox Manage
When applying the installation allowlist in Knox Configure, it automatically blocks all installation attempts from apps that are not included on the whitelist.
Resolution
To solve the problem, add the following package name under installation allowlist:
- com.samsung.android.knox.kpu
- com.sds.emm.cloud.knox.samsung
Push the updated profile to the devices and try the enrollment again.
