About routine applets

Last updated December 6th, 2023

Routine applets allow you to easily program devices to respond to events based on various factors. Context clues such as time, battery level, charging status, and more can be set up to trigger automated responses without any coding. You can use routine applets for multiple use cases by combining triggers and actions.

Routines can only run on devices secured by Knox.

Below is an example of how you can use a routine applet to trigger specific device settings while workers are on shift.

If:

  • Time period: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Location: Hospital area

Then:

  • Turn on medium power-saving mode.
  • Lower device volume.
  • Switch to hospital Wi-Fi.
  • Change lock screen shortcuts.
