Last updated June 26th, 2024

The steps covered on this page can only be performed on the device. As an IT admin, you can use this information to help provide guidance to your end users, or you can use a troubleshooting solution like Knox Remote Support to control and support the device remotely.

After your device is enrolled in Knox Configure, you can view details about your device’s profile, as well as your company’s website and support contact information on the Configuration services screen. To access this screen, go to Settings > Advanced features > Configuration service.

Configuration service information

On the main screen, the Default profile section shows the Knox Configure product name, as well as icons to let you know if your profile includes custom wallpapers, themes, and animations.

Your IT admin can also push the latest profile updates to your device from the console. If the IT admin pushes an update, you can get a pop-up notification letting you know that an update is available.

  • Tap Update now to download and install the latest profile immediately,
  • Tap Update overnight to download and install the changes between the hours of 2:00 am and 5:00 am local time.

Update Setup profiles

If your device is configured with a Setup profile, and your IT admin made changes to the profile, you cannot use the Configuration service screen to update your device. Instead, your IT admin must factory reset your device for the new profile to take effect.

Update accessory profiles

If your device is configured with an Accessory profile, then there is no way to update the profile after your device is paired with the accessory.
