Support for two-digit and five-digit add-ons

With Knox Capture v2.2, you can now configure two-digit and five-digit add-ons in the extended barcode type settings. These add-ons, which do not have a check digit, provide additional details such as pricing or publishing details. They are available for EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-A, and UPC-E barcodes.

Improvement to Aztec barcode recognition

The recognition accuracy of Aztec barcodes is enhanced, especially for the large-size barcodes with high data density.

Support for JSON output in GS1 Parser

Previously, the GS1 Parser output was limited to human-readable format. Now, when the Parse GS1 option is enabled in Scanning settings, Knox Capture v2.2 supports GS1 Parser output in both human-readable and JSON formats for intent output. This enhancement enables seamless integration of GS1 barcode data with business applications by allowing structured JSON data to be used programmatically.

However, when the output is delivered through keystroke output, it remains in human-readable format only.

Knox Capture SDK v1.4.0

Knox Capture v2.2 also introduces improved barcode recognition with two-digit and five-digit add-ons, and GS1 Parser with JSON output. To learn more, see our latest SDK release notes.
