Add devices
Last updated November 19th, 2025
Before you can use Knox Asset Intelligence, you must first have devices added to your account. There are two ways to add devices to Knox Asset Intelligence:
-
By purchasing devices from a Samsung-approved reseller.
-
By uploading your own Android devices in bulk, through a CSV file.
If you are uploading your own devices, you must ensure that they are compatible and running an appropriate Knox version.
Reseller method
When you purchase devices from a Samsung-approved reseller, the reseller can directly upload devices to your Knox account during the transaction. To allow resellers to upload devices directly to your account, you must provide them your Knox customer ID, which can be found by clicking your account icon in the top-right corner of the console.

After your reseller uploads your purchased devices to your account for the first time, they will appear in the UPLOADS tab of the Knox Admin Portal’s Devices page, where you’ll have to approve the upload before you can begin the enrollment process. To learn how to approve uploads, see the Knox Admin Portal’s Get started tutorial.
Once devices are approved, you’ll then need to register these devices to your Knox Asset Intelligence console’s devices list. See the Knox Admin Portal’s Register devices to your Knox services page to learn more. After devices are registered and enrolled, you’ll be able to perform device actions unique to Knox Asset Intelligence, like requesting a diagnostic log or scheduling a snapshot.
Bulk upload method
If you purchased your devices without a reseller, you can manually upload the IMEIs to your Knox Asset Intelligence console. To do this:
-
Go to the Devices page, then click ACTIONS > Upload device(s).

Alternatively, you can upload devices by going to the BULK ACTIONS tab, then clicking UPLOAD DEVICES.
-
Download the provided CSV template, then fill it out with one IMEI number per line (up to 10,000).
-
Upload your CSV file, then click SUBMIT.
-
After devices are approved, they will show up in the list in the DEVICES tab with a status set to Not enrolled.
