Add devices

Before you can use Knox Asset Intelligence, you’re going to need compatible devices added to your Knox account. For a full list of supported devices, see Devices secured by Knox.

There are two ways to add devices to your account:

  • Reseller upload method
  • Direct upload method

Reseller upload method

You can purchase devices from a Samsung-approved reseller, and have them upload

When you purchase devices from a Samsung-approved reseller, they will upload device IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) numbers directly to your account. To allow resellers to upload to your account, you must do the following:

  1. Register the resellers.

  2. Once registered, provide the resellers with your Knox customer ID, which can be found by clicking your account icon in the top-right corner of the console.

Bulk upload method

If you purchased Knox devices without a Samsung-approved, then you’ll have to manually upload devices IMEIs to your account with a CSV file. To do this:

  1. Go to the Devices page, then select the BULK ACTIONS tab

  2. Click UPLOAD DEVICES.

  3. Download the provided CSV template, then fill it out with one IMEI number per line (up to 10,000).

  4. Save your template, then go back on the Knox Asset Intelligence console.

  5. Under Select .csv file, click BROWSE to to upload your devices, then click Submit.
